The days that matter most: severe storms, big rain, strong wind and snow at KCI, and what each forecaster said before them.

A day counts as significant weather with severe weather reported within 25 miles (a tornado, wind of 58 mph or damage, hail of an inch or more), a gust of 50 mph or more, an inch of rain or more, or half an inch of snow or more. Days of it in a row are one storm. A forecast snowstorm that didn't come counts too. How it works.

Alert days

Every day a station flagged the day before (KCTV5's "First Warn", FOX4's "Weather Aware" and KMBC 9's "Impact Day" days), with what the weather did. Stations flag days for frost, heat and wind as well as storms, so these aren't scored as right or wrong.
